... hello East Coast Rewards!

The current scheme (was NXEC escape - like GNERtime but with benefits slashed) will come to an end by July and be replaced by a points based system with the same name.

It also says that the current helpline will no longer available after this time and web support will be the new contact point. Of course by this time the Newcastle call centre will be closed and web support will be directly handled by Atos Origin.

So looks like it's goodbye to the loyalty team in Orpington. I'd not be surprises if this new loyalty scheme is not simply a clone of the one on Atos' own redspottedhanky.

 

[Failed Unit]

Anyone have any idea what the new Scheme will bring, at the moment nothing on the East Coast Web site about either. I always came frustratingly close to hitting the £1800 target but never managed it. I am hoping that the new scheme will be more like Virgin's where you only need 8 journeys costing more than X, which will be very easy from Scotland. I may even manage to get in both companies over the year, I always avoid Virgin because of its inferior catering offer and slower journeys because of the walk across Glasgow, but now Virgin wins on catering and the new timetable means that Virgin are not that much slower either!
