I really like the colour (and it works well on the 319 livery), but the stripes go the wrong way and look a bit much like a bus livery from the late 1980s.
That probably goes a long way towards suggesting why I like it: I regard the immediate post-bus deregulation era as something of a "golden age" for livery design! Also hence my allusion to the similarities with the old Provincial "Railbus" livery.

Have to say that 144 looks dreadful externally. An amateurish look, especially the front end. Come back Class 319 livery, all is forgiven!

I think the 144e livery does have a nice choice of colours but I'm not sure on the livery design and I think the Northern Rail logo is a bit small. I'm not keen on the front either to be honest - I think it would have looked much better with a full yellow front end

I probably will be shot for saying this, but I've decided that I quite like the Heathrow Connect orange livery.

It's a nice basic one not overly dissimilar to the original 350/1 "reverse BR blue and grey" livery which I also quite liked. 350s do look really odd without a front gangway, though - almost unfinished. I guess a German Desiro-style fancy fibreglass snout would have wasted too much length.

Add another vote for the WAGN 317/6 livery and FGW 'Fag Packet'! Also really liked the NWT/FNW blue with gold stars livery, especially with the yellow headlight surrounds rather than black.

From the UK, I quite like the Virgin livery on their Pendolino's. I think the Midland Mainline livery on a 222 looked good as well:

Another livery which I find striking is that of MTR Express of Sweden:
