Hi can anybody tell me which company's are good to work for in the railways I have just finished my course and got my PTS with D&A. So this is all new to me.

You need to give us more than that. Do you want to work for a TOC or FOC (train operator), Network Rail, a private permanent way contractor?

With you being located in Edinburgh, there's no point in me recommending something like Southeastern or GWR.

Yes I will be a blue hat trackman and willing to work anywhere in the UK. Sorry mate I don't know what a TOC is. And really don't understand the sponsorship and how it works I know you have a primary but dose that mean I can only get jobs with my primary sponsor? Thanks

A TOC is a Train Operating Company (passenger) so for example, South West Trains is a TOC
