Gold card / Oyster annual season

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I am confused.

Am I right in saying that I can no longer buy an annual season on my Oyster card from South West Trains ticket offices?

That would mean I would have to get it from a tube office, but then I wouldn't get my Gold record card?

Is there any way to get my season on my Oyster and still get my Gold card now ?

You will still get a gold record card if you buy an annual travelcard from a LU ticket office, or via the TfL website.

Yes, but obviously without the six free weekend tickets.

The benefits are precisely the same irrespective of where you buy your annual season ticket, as long as it is a location that issues gold cards/gold record cards (i.e. not outside the "Network area").
