No but the ops in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire are!
I know people love to be literal and exact but we have Go South Coast with ops in Salisbury and Swindon; Go Thames Valley is just a means of grouping a few subsidiaries together.

It is for government planning and statistical purposes. They correlate to the former Government Offices for the Regions. See https://geoportal.statistics.gov.uk...rities-april-2011-map-in-the-uk/explore?path= for a map.
They do not, however, mirror the traffic commissioners areas which can be seen here - https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...dance/vehicle-operator-licences-traffic-areas. This puts Berkshire in the western region.
Some will recall the extent to which British Rail challenged geographical thinking by placing Exeter and Worcester with Network South East’s orbit.
As with so much in life consistency is key!

Oops, silly me! I thought Go Ahead had renamed their operation South East! Serves me right for reading too quickly!
As a native of Oxford I can confirm that it considers itself to be in the south east. There was a big row when Oxford got its own TV transmitter that provided midlands TV.
As for Go Thames Valley, I wonder what Reading Buses think of it and whether it will cause any confusion with its Thames Valley trading name.

No plan to combine any O Licences - all four will still remain separate.
Should be fine as it is just a group thing rather than the operating side, same as with Go South West and the erstwhile Go East Anglia.

Conversely, growing up in Oxford in the late 1990s and early 2000s, I found the ITV Midlands coverage much more relevant than the BBC South Today was!
It is nice to see Gloucestershire covered by something with Thames Valley in its name, given that the source of the Thames is located there but it's rarely considered part of it. I doubt the rebranding will have any real effect on the ground though - ask people in Southampton who runs most buses in the city and you'd be hard pressed to find Go South Coast as a response.
I've just googled Thames Valley and the nearest the border's of it stretches to go as far as just East of Swindon, Bourton on the water, a small stub outside to Moreton in Marsh which is the closest to Gloucestershire it goes.
Agreed the Thames Source is Gloucestershire but surely that comes under The Cotswolds and have always been known as such as completely different regions.

Even in its infant state the Thames will flow in a valley. It won’t be a very deep one but that’s not the point.
