Adding to my (mental) list of buses that have used historic Chapel Street in Penzance over three decades, mostly in service and usually when Market Jew Street is temporarily unavailable eastbound, was a GCB no. 5 last night at 22.22 that crept past my house as though scared to wake the ghost up. It must have been the 21.59 dep from Sheffield timed at MJS at 22.23, and presumably diverted due to resurfacing works by the station preventing it getting to Pz bus station. The only way it could have got there was via Ross Bridge and then through Wharfside Car Park, assuming the barriers out of use for weeks but recently brought back into use were raised. Only the second red bus I've seen in Chapel Street, following the Routemaster some years ago that many in the area thought I was responsible for, except that was a mystery to me as well, and I never got a picture in time!

I'm surprised to hear of any buses heading down chapel street to be honest, as it can be quite a pinch up by the Egyptian House (when you've got vehicles parked on the left!). Presumably it must have been a solo to fit down there?

It was. Egyptian House is the least of the problems tbh: the worst places are after you've passed St Mary's church, whether you go down Dock Street or continue to follow the road round to the right, with cars parked on both sides for most of the way: mostly cars without working wing mirrors, it has to be said! Regularly (i.e. once every year or so) a coach or an hgv has to be backed up Chapel Street the quarter mile or so to Market Jew Street with PCs/PCSOs in attendance, usually after 5 p.m. and having blocked the road for several hours.

What's this TfC U4 (school?) journey that runs at around 15.00 from Penzance to Falmouth? It's not shown in the timetable.

I saw it at Longrock today, a Callywith E400 completely empty, pursued by an FK Solo with a couple of passengers.

Think it runs between Penzance and Helston, it must meant to be a school service I guess, but they're running it anyway

All the TfC U4s show Falmouth for some reason, even tho they never go to Falmouth

Well at least the route number was correct!

More PCB branded buses and a Yellow flash E400, than TfC ones around.

They are being told to do this by management with wrong destination if it’s for Plymouth blinds.
As a driver displaying the incorrect destination is an on the spot fine from a DVSA inspector.

I assume they are running school day timetables? Haven’t worked it out from Newquay services as some appear to run school day service and others no school day!

They must be, I suppose because schools are technically open still for the key worker pupils

Some Truro College students are returning next week, a friend of mine who works at the college said, so be interesting how that along with non-essential shops being open increases passenger numbers, although the college will mainly affect Kernow

How does a 'wrong' destination differ from an 'incorrect' destination? A pity we don't have Lewis Carroll's take on this: 'Alice's Adventures on the Overground' would make a worthy addition to the Carroll oeuvre, though I fear even he would throw up his hands in despair in attempting to satirise what's happening now.

505 may have been the one I saw on the A30 near Cornwall Services yesterday, as you say looking freshly repainted.

Seen a pic of broken down 505.

Last weekend I came across a SL64 Plate broken Down, the driver seemed to think it had ran dry of oil. Got me wondering if they are having so much issue with running out of fuel, is someone checking oil and water etc, or will they start running out of them too.

Bit of a mix up looking at "bustimes" for two ex First Kernow E200MMC's. "2001" which is WK18 BVG was shown this week working services 25 & 39 in one morning and then on service 515. E200MMC "2001" is in Mid Cornwall as I saw it today on service 30. "2000" which is WK18 BVF is in West Cornwall & has been seen in Helston and on service 515 at St Erth.

Presumably a wrong number put in when programming a ticket machine.

Go cornwall have defiantly added refulling to end of shift jobs, when I was refuelling in tescos helston 4 tfc buses came in for refuelling two e200mmc, one e200 and a dart

Hopley's won't be using an ex-Kernow E200 anymore, believe WK18 BVF was planned, just going to use SR's now which suits their requirements better

At least two instances of buses running out of fuel today. One at Holywell bay on 85, another in padstow.
Earlier in the week both a long e400 and long e200 got stuck on Harlyn bridge!
