Yesterday I spotted a WJ65 Enviro200 on the TFC operated A1. Rare working or not?

The majority of the tfc A1s have been operated by single deckers.

From the window arrangement this appears to be long wheelbase, unlike FK's ones.
Ah right, much difference in capacity?
Hopefully it's the same height as the 66 plate ones, banged my head to many times on the 18 plate ones!

I didnt relise they were different heights after looking at the 400mmc specs im guessing the kernow 66 plates are 4.3m and the 18 plates are 4.2m
Unsure of the lengths of them thought either 10.5m, 10.9m or 11.5m
The red and blue ones have length on a sheet in the cab as 11m length. Green ones don’t have length obviously visible.
Green ones are 13ft 10 high

The red and the blue ones are definitely not 11m. They're the short wheelbase version as are all First Bus E400 MMCs.

All First Kernow may be short but not all First Bus. First West of England have long wheelbase dual door examples on both ADL and Scania chassis.
Looks to be 10.9m vs FKs 10.5m MMCs, it’s certainly not the 11.5m version!

Yes, that's right. By long wheelbase I meant the 10.9m version.
Only going by the stickers in the cab. Haven’t got a tape measure out!

The ADL brochure puts them at 10.5m. The tell-tale is the short window two thirds of the way along.
I had a trip around Cornwall today on TFC routes.Caught 2209 from Plymouth on the 09.40 a bit jerky in low gears keeps changing gear on steep hills.8 passengers and a dog carried between Plymouth and Liskeard but I was the only passenger to travel through. 11 new passengers and 2 children joined and 3 left before I left at Bodmin Parkway.
I had half hour break time for a coffee before joining 156 on the 10 to Wadebridge. Only one other passenger into Bodmin where thankfully she left after talking very loudly on her phone for most of her journey. 2 passengers joined 1 only local and the other through to Wadebridge.
After some lunch caught the next 10 to Launceston on 2422 7 passengers on this bus 4 had left by the time we left Rock 2 went to Port Issac and 1 to Camelford. I had the bus to myself after that.
After a quick pee found 521 arriving in Westgate Street so hurried to catch it and found that although the timetables online show it leaving at 15.25 the drivers running card said 15.20 so that is when we left.This journey is showing as not serving Launceston College but we did delaying us by about 12 minutes but not picking up any children in the college but picking up about 12 at the stop before and after the college. Some fast running after Callington allowed an on time arrival in Plymoth
The timetable matter has been reported to TFC although the girl answered the phone as Plymouth Citybus
All buses were driven safely and all staff were friendly.
A very good day out.

Seen it now didnt show on feed for some reason.
There was a comment saying delivery starts tomorrow.
Yeah saw that, although they probably won't come to Cornwall for a few days, likely to to Milehouse for prep like the E200 MMCs first

The first e400mmc was spotted today parked in a Bristol service station the reg was wa70dzj
Not so much a criticism of TfC ( Transport for Cornwall) as I think they have had their fair share of that rightfully or wrongly in some cases. What I want to know is people’s thoughts.
Outside Camborne bus station is Union Street and between the vehicle entrance and exit to the bus station the road has a single yellow line and a sign stating no waiting between certain times during the daytime.
TfC are parking buses ( just enough room for two) here on layover where they would otherwise be blocking a stand in the bus station. OTS have also done it. I have seen bus drivers speak to car drivers parked there asking them to move do that they can put the bus there, most ask nicely but I was told some get irate about it if some car drivers say no.
The buses are there for generally no more than 30 minutes sometimes unattended during the day and never overnight.
Traffic wardens ( or whatever they are called nowadays- civil enforcement officers?) sometimes ticket cars parked here but I have seen them seemingly turn a blind eye to buses.
I appreciate the lack of stands or parking in the bus station but do you think they should be parking there?

What's the alternative? Some London bus garages had an in and an out, and I'm sure these were used for layovers (Sutton and Kingston spring to mind). However, is the garage at Camborne big enough for this, without getting in the way of the maintenance and other functions taking place in a garage?
It’s a combined bus station and depot site.
The depot is pretty much full most of the day and is a First Kernow facility. The nearest TfC depot is about 7 miles away.
They can not legally park there. There duty card tells them to return to their scorrier depot for their meal break from talking to a driver but have not been doing so
Thank you, the area concerned is not marked up as a bus stop or parking area so thought that might be the case.

If on there duty card they are instructed to go back to scorrier depot that must mean that there is time for them to have a break/lunch when they get to scorrier so there is no excuse in my opinion.
It has yellow lines from memory so if the traffic warden came by it would be a ticket.

sounds like you caught the student only version. The student only version runs 5 mins ahead of the public version of the 12. The student only version isn’t advertised in public timetables.
but sounds like the driver had the kind set wrong as the student only version the desti shows as “12 students only“
The public version doesn’t go to the school,
