Latest rumour I heard was May.
This was very new news to me but with changes from First Kernow to Go Cornwall we assumed P&R would also get different buses or temporary bus. Hopefully with your guess and my guess in sync hopefully it will be in May or June.

The buses for the park and ride are owned by Cornwall Council so it does not matter who is the operator. Buses are simply transferred to the new contractor.
So did i, however in the time period when the buses were in their temporary bus station near m&s ,the park and ride was also diverted into the actual carparks due to works in the bus lanes, which i was told was cables being laid. This was also where the flashing lights were by coincidence?

Speaking of P&R, the 15 plate Mercs are now really showing their age... got on 70053 today, gearbox banging and no next stop or WiFi working, then 70054 for the return journey and it was riding very high and the ticket machine not scanning tickets or app's....
Sad really as I know what it was once. Here's hoping the Kite's get in asap and the Mercs can head off somewhere else!

I had no issue on 54 today with tickets but it certainly wasn't running at it's finest.
On the charging topic it looks like there are charging points at Langarth in the bus layover bays just before the pickup point.
That sounds pretty bad. How old are the old buses?

As the poster said, they're 15 plates.
At 11 years old, and having been confined to comparatively light duties, it's a surprise that they are in a state mechanically. The issues on NSAs, wifi and ticket machines aren't really age related though.
The ticket machine not working, isn’t anything to do with the age of the bus, neither is the next stop announcements for that matter
They are only 15 plate in any case, newer than quite a lot of the GCB fleet!
11 years old is no real age at all. There are lots of buses over 15 years old on the road*, and I thought Citaros were heavyweight and well built. Probably speaks volumes about the maintenance regime rather than the original build quality.

54 suspension has been 'iffy' at best for years now.
Sometimes it would drop when asked, mostly it wouldn't.
Maintenance on P&R has recently been basic or not done on grounds of cost cutting to the engineering team.
Was originally done by Truro engineers, who did a brilliant job on them, and knew them inside out.
Cost cutting came in and responsibility came under Summercourt; Truro relegated to emergency repair only for P&R.
Ticketers are the responsibility of Ticketer, not First/Council/GCB.

7/7A Showing from next month for Penzance/Lands End/St Ives, looks to be the old open top circuit though most likely using closed top

Summer has always been the time for a few changes: I wonder if there will be any other revisions. A few tweaks perhaps?

Land's End - St Ives with positioning trips from/to Penzance ran last summer. Penzance - Land's End is new as far as the 7/7A is concerned and would as you say reinstate the old Coaster circuit, albeit via Cross-an-Wra rather than Porthcurno.
I wonder if there'll be seasonal enhancements on other routes. The cuts to Sunday services currently make it difficult to get around for a day trip, with many services being reduced from hourly to every two hours.

Possibly, I certainly don't have the same interest in Go Cornwall as I did with First Kernow or Western National before it. There's a bit of a feeling with me that there isn't the interest there was with First possibly because all the buses are red and similar types. Mostly E400's or E200's in the west of Cornwall although it does vary slightly.
Go Cornwall certainly doesn't connect with me in the same way.

It would make sense to rationalise depots as GoCornwall now have 18 sites and are seemingly in danger of being saddled with the same high overhead costs that First had.
Talking of depots the delayed redevelopment of Penzance depot, including the merging of the two sites (one being the former First depot) is now being undertaken by the council.
