Hi all I am aware that all ENCTS bus passes issued by councils within the GM area are valid on trains , my question is are all holders of ENCTS bus passes regardless of where they are issued entitled to the concessionary discount of a GM wayfarer ?

Yes. A Concession Wayfarer ticket can only be used by holders of English National Concessionary Travel Passes for people of state pension age and disabled people.

Source:

Reduces the cost of the GM Wayfarer from £16.20 to £10.70.

Thanks very much for your quick reply good to know I can use mine for a discount then which is Blackburn with Darwen and issued by Lancashire County Council

I did think I could but wanted to make sure this wasn’t just restricted to those issued by GM authorities

That's my understanding but definitely worth checking.

P.S. I'm thinking of using a GM Wayfarer tomorrow but, if so, will have to stump up the full £16.20.
