Across a few other forums, Climategate has taken its toll on those who would otherwise believe figures of authority.
Mainstream climate scientists have been purporting that it is a settled science, but when the real science is investigated there are huge questions: Urban Heat Islands affecting temperature recordings, the perversion of Peer Review ("we'll redefine it" said one infamous climate scientist), and "why should we show you our data when all you want to do is prove it wrong". You have to wonder why we trust them. As a result there were Freedom of Information requests. Guess what? They are trying to block them because they think that the work they do, from our tax money, is their own private property.
This is the mess climate science is in. And it's why our electricity and gas bills are going up.
