Glastonbury bus & coach photography

Hello all,

I've never been to Glastonbury, but I'd like to go for bus and coach photos, either Thursday or Friday if anything is happening. Allegedly, I heard they don't like you standing at the enterance, and boot you out if you hang about at Castle Cary.

Then again I've heard people say that and generally it's because actually they got in the way/trespassed/caused problems etc.

I'd be going by car thats the thing, I suspect parking in Pilton and walking up is probably out the question, I suspect they'd be some parking restrictions?

Last option would be to try the lay-by out the village, might miss out the Castle Cary shuttles but should see coaches maybe. I know NatEx are doing runs but I'm not sure if its busy for coaches, dont want to go to find out therr is only a NatEx and some other operator and thats all.

Anyone know what its like?

Any help or tips would be most appreciated!

Possible if going by back roads, But only really to Glastonbury or Street, Not sure how policed those are now, as when did live in the area, Police did make sure if were 'local' etc.

Best place would be around Cary Station i would imagine, or just off the road beyond the station as a possibility. But again been 12 years since i lived in the area.

Yes Frome Minibuses 669 serves Pilton on its Shepton to Street journey whilst both SWC 1 service Yeovil to Shepton and Nippybus 667 Wincanton via Bruton service to Street also serves Castle Cary town and station.
