Glasgow Roundabout ticket challenge

Hi all,

A friend and I have been planning a "challenge" in the style of the Tube Challenge, where we stop at every station covered by the SPT Glasgow Roundabout ticket in one day. I've plotted out a (theoretically achievable) route that I'm rather confident is the optimum route under the current timetable and, if completed, would be the record timing for this "challenge".

Is there any record anywhere of previous attempts at this idea, so that I can compare timings?

Also, I might as well double-check while I'm here: I presume that a 7-minute connection from platform 4 to platform 15 at Glasgow Central (at 7:30am) is possible, assuming the inbound train arrives on time, we are standing by its front doors, and we run as much as possible towards the outbound train?

7 minutes will likely be more than enough, although the biggest risk is the roundabout ticket not working the barriers when you re-enter for P15 and trying to attract attention.

Believe the best prior attempts were around 36 hours, including the Subway and Buchanan Bus Station (as it is technically a stop on the included 398 bus service).
Depends if the challenge is to be on a train which calls at all the stations in the Roundabout area or to alight/board a train at every station within that area.
The former I reckon can be easily done within a single day, not like there are any awkward stations within the Roundabout area

Aye our definition is "train calling at all the stations", rather than having to alight/board — and I can confirm that this should absolutely be possible in a single day!

I hadn't actually considered the 398 and the bus station — I suppose you're technically right that it should be concluded but I think I'm going to be cheeky and say we're just doing all the train stations covered by the ticket!
