Glasgow Queen Street - Central Walking

Is there an officially published minimum connection time between Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central.

I've spent the last 15 or so minutes searching for one and can't find it.

Transport Direct gives a time of 7 minutes for the walk.
I wouldn't like to have to do it in less than 10 minutes if you are unsure of the departing platform.
From experience, one false turn on the dog-leg route and you're done for!

National Rail Enquiries seems to allow 30 minutes for the GLQ-GLC walk if you plan a journey like Stirling - Stranraer.

I don't think there is a published minimum connection time (the OP isn't asking how long it actually takes to walk it ) but as above I think journey planner are programmed to allow at least thirty minutes so I'd be hesitant to allow much less if travelling on an advance starting from the station you're walking to.

You can comfortably walk it in 10 minutes, but you have to know where you are going.

One wrong turn and you can easily get lost.

There is a shuttle bus service, which is free to holders of a valid rail ticket.

If planning a journey, I would reckon on at least 30 minutes, to allow for the fact that your arriving train may be late, and you may be unsure as to the route.

I have walked between the two before and did it in around 10 minutes. That's not the bit I'm worried about.

Last time I wasn't changing onto an advance ticket so want to be covered in the case of delays.

If your itinery does not have at least the official 30 mins you will be not be entitled to delay repay or be able to use an advance ticket on the next service if there is disruption.

Theres a pub just outside Central which serves a fantastic pint of Orkney Dark Island , its to die for!

Still quicker to walk, methinks? Although I don't knock arriving at St. Enoch Subway Station - a wee architectural dream!
