Glasgow Off-route excess

Greetings experts,

My wife is currently working in Glasgow with a Keighley - Glasgow Anytime Return (route Appleby).

It's the cheapest - and quickest - route.

She's planning to return on the last train tomorrow (1640 ex Glasgow).

With the pope thing going on there's a chance she'll miss it.

Is she best getting an excess - to an any permitted or route something else? Her second plan is to go Glasgow (1700) -Edinburgh-Leeds-Keighley.

Anyone any tips on excessing aptitude at Glasgow?

I would suggest waiting to see what time she arrives in Glasgow
Ideally, travel by train to Glasgow Central
If it arrives late then there shouldn't be any issue

At Glasgow Central, go straight to the main Travel Centre and see what they will do

I'm not sure I understand. she's in glasgow now.

If she wanted to excess via leeds, it would be around 18 quid or just less. There is no any petmitted from what i can see, only routes Appleby, Carlisle and leeds.

What ticket would that be to?

Hers was a £45.40 anytime route Appleby.

The only one I can see is a £81.70 off peak route Leeds (excess £18.15) ?- can you excess from an anytime to an offpeak? Or would she have to excess to the £197 (excess £76.70?) anytime route Leeds

Does Route Carlisle allow travel via Manchester?

You excess to the cheapest ticket valid for the journey being made, any Anytime ticket can be excessed to an Off-Peak return for example, if the Off-Peak Return is valid for the service being used.
