Looking on the National Rail 'Current Service Alterations' page I noticed an item about a derailment in Glasgow. Had a quick search on BBC News and came across this article about it.

It is I think 318254, one carriage of which is on its side. The line is expected to be closed until wednesday morning for recovery.

Interestingly, 318254 is the unit which demolished largs station in the mid 1990's.

This seems to have mucked up a lot of diagrams on the North Clyde Line, with some 318s running to Drumgelloch which is an unusual occurence. Trains are diverted to Glasgow Central High Level, which must be creating platforming hell. This link has all the current diversion information. I assume that peak services to Coatbridge Central and Carstairs are not running. There is a Milngavie shuttle service to provide extra services on that branch.

I hope they deal with the problem as well as they usually do, and although the injuries are potentially serious, I hope they do not develop any complications or inhibit the lifes of the workers. Thankfully the empty train caused no further injuries.
