Hello,

I've purchased an anytime day return for today between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central. if I miss the last train from GLC at 2105 does anyone know how much it would cost to excess this to use on Scotrail services from Queen Street. I have a 16/25 railcard.

Same price as normal, you can't excess TOC specific products I'm afraid.

AFAIAA the barriers at Glasgow Queen Street [GLQ] are programmed to disallow "XC only" tickets.

A new ticket @ £8.30 would be required.

Actually I went through the barrier at Queen Street without it flagging up my ticket. The conductor didn't question the ticket either (probably due to the drunks on the same carriage *sigh*)

I don't see why. A Super Offpeak Day Return @ £6.65 is available from Scotrail up to and including the 2300 departure.
Is that a "smartcard only" fare. It does come up on my Star Mobile machine too.
