Hi all. Massive progress has been made at GlaSgow Central High Level station. At the weekend, Overnight on Saturday 14th / Sunday 15th November 2009 the final two Network Rail building located on platforms 11 and 12 were demolished by Balfour Beatty. One of the buildings as a Network Rail office and the other a storage unit building. With all office / storage buildings now demolished between platforms 11 and 14 work can now commence on extending platform 12 straight through and down into the station (When the carpark site area is safe to do so) and work can also commence on the construction of the brand new platform 13. Balfour Beatty are working hard in the former carpark area which is where the platform 12 will be extended and platform 13 newly built.
