Why does Neilston come up as <Neilston> with the triangular brackets on the departure screen at GLC?

Both myself and friend have noticed several times recently that Neilston departures from Glasgow Central end up in angle brackets as ""; the same isn't true for any other destination. Does anyone know why this is the case?
