Glasgow Central Approaches

I've noticed that large amounts of materials such as cable ducting, sleepers etc are being stockpiled under the new motorway viaduct on the Paisley line just before it joins the main approach lines into Central.
Is it for enhancement or just replacement - theres an out of use line next to the two tracks in use past the old parcels depot?

yes could be, but they've also cleared bushes etc away in immediate vicinity and it would not be a very convenient location for work on the non-electrified section of the canal line.
