I was given a fine this morning for not tapping at at my local station (Zone 4), which I fully accept is true. However, I am under 18 and am supposed to have a 16-18 oyster card. 2 weeks ago, my junior card stopped working completely (not registering at any station) so I had to stop using it and tried to order a new one, but the website was down and not working. So I was forced in having to pay full prices until the website is back up and I can order a new one despite the very heavy strain financially on me and my family (paying £10 a day is very very hard to do but we have just about scraping enough). Today my money transferred didnt come through in time for me to tap in so I went onto the train anyways as I believed I could tap out at Blackfriars like I can with my junior card (the money would have arrived by then). Turns out you cant, stupid honest mistake from me but do I have grounds to appeal as TFl's problems with my card and their website have forced me to pay with my debit card at full prices when I shouldnt be?

Where were you stopped? Was it at Blackfriars Underground, or at Blackfriars National Rail?
