hi everyone here's a creepy thread story for everyone since we're nowhere near Halloween I thought it would suitable (which I now realise it isn't). Ah well.

I found this really interesting documentary on Youtube and think some people may enjoy watching it (or maybe not) but watch in anyway.

It's about ghost on the London underground and people experiences of them and the fact that there are a lot of things the travelling public don't notice. I myself who use the underground on a fairly regular basis will be thinking a lot more carefully as I pass through the tunnels and down the long winding corridors. I don't believe in ghosts at all myself but there are a lot of things on here that can't be explained. I sure there is a logical explanation but will anyone ever find it for some of the strange things that go on down there.

Please do watch it its really interesting and makes you think even if you don't believe in ghosts.

I like the part about "The Dead body train" i have to keep an eye out for that one. There are some weird things go on down there like that nobody can explain. Carn't believe the Kennington loop is supposed to be haunted. Scary.

It mentions i think in this video might have been another video i seen, that there was a underground hospital in London somewhere. Where in London was it? Are the tunnels still there? And is the hospital still there ? (closed now obvously). I've always wondered.

I'm not sure if anyone on here knows i certainly didn't until a few weeks ago well watching a program called "Greatest Cities of the world" that there is a train station in London called Cemetery station used only to take dead bodies out of London.

I have watched these before, they are very interesting, better than a fake most haunted tv show!

I do believe this stuff, I have ghosts hanging around my flat (though they dont throw doors around or major stuff, they are pretty house trained and quiet! And no I don't want a is there ghost debate war, this isnt a belief I want to drill into everyone)

I still wouldn't mind looking for ghosts on the underground mind, my ones a boring

Cheers,

James.

I've just been watchin the victoria eye view DVD, appartently lots of employees witnessed a spine chilling black object whilst building the tunnels. Apparently part of the line had been built over one of the ex plague pits, and the sightings were alledgedly connected with this. I know alot of it is probably superstition playing on peoples minds but with so many people affected in cases such as these all at once it does tend to make you think that maybe there is something there... I wouldn't say that I believe in such things but then again I've had one or two events in mylife when I was younger and not well at the time that have given me second thoughts.... ;)

I'm glad you've all enjoyed watching it.

The beginning is very true, most people who travel on the underground don't even think about that sort of thing at all. I myself was travelling on the underground and was not even paying any attention to looking for ghost and things. Nothing was further from my mind. As soon as i was back to ground level i suddenly remembered the documentry, thought to myself, i've just travelled through one of the haunted tunnels mention in the program.

JV3531 - was it not the Jubilee line DVD that you were watching.

This is something that interests me greatly. I used to be in contact with the chap who took the long exposure photo, and had a chat with him about it and it's certainly an unexplainable story. Apparently the main line tunnels are quite nice to walk through as they are quite warm and bright, whereas the disused ones are cold, dark and damp...

Worryingly enough, it's not as Dead (Excuse the pun!) as some people might think - Take a look at what happened when I idly poked it into Avantix just now...<D

Does anyone ever buy returns from there?. families I suppose....4 Retruns and one single please, he has a Senior Railcard.....
:D
Let's hope though that - If they reintroduce funeral trains (I think it'd be a good idea, especially as Brookwood Necropolis is only about 40% full) - Virgin won't be making a bid to run them! I know there's normally plenty of space inside a Pendo for a casket or two...But have ye ever tried getting on a typical Virgin service after 17:00 on a Friday with two full coffins in tow?

It'd be bad enough just trying to board a VT service with two cremation urns...Let alone full-size caskets!

Whilst I'm here, ye might find this scan-in from Simon Bond's Commuted to Life amusing... 8)

Sorry to foil you (or should I say "ye") Death, but that screenshot from Avantix has been edited... or was that intentionally supposed to be obvious?

It was supposed to be relatively apparent as a joke. We all know that AToC may be slower than a Pacer most of the time, but even they would've taken 'Necropolis off of the system by now...From what I can recall, the station was obliterated by the Luftwaffe around 1943CE or so!

Mind ye though, the installation of Avantix on my own PCs do now recognise London Necropolis (9666, NEC) as a valid and addressible station. As a rather minor consequence though, every system has also kind of "lost" London Waterloo from the database in the process!:roll::lol:

If I may ask: Was it something immediateley obvious in the image itself - Such as the fact that Avantix doesn't use CE/BCE dating - That suggested it was a photoshop (I knocked it up in ten mins using Paint) or did ye take a very close look and/or run some form of analysis software over it? 8)

Nah, it was the CRS code - NCR was too obvious. I think NPS would be more accurate. ;) It did make me laugh, but then I saw the comments below seemingly believing it to be true, so I thought it best to point out it wasn't.

What I want to know, is what the C4 restriction on the CDR is; are coffins not allowed to travel in the peak period?

You need to watch "Creep", starring Franka Potente:) It was shown on TV recently, and some of it at least was shot at Down Street.
