I'd like to run this idea past y'all.
I think that this is a great way to raise funds for preserved railways - another theme idea 'Ghost Train'.
Have you ever watched a horror film and been spooked out afterwards especially when you turn the lights off? This is what it's like -
We used to run empty stock (late 80's) from the depot to Northam in the morning - 8 car slammer where we'd wait before taking it to Eastleigh to run a service to London.
Now - walking through that train in the dark with the lights off and just a Bardic was really spine chilling especially in the corridors. Daft really because I knew that nobody else was on the train - I'd just prepped it at the depot.
So - if the preserved railway has some old coaches - not their best - which they could use, various things could go on in each one e.g. -
Send people through the dark coaches in 2's or 3's with a small torch - maybe just a red lamp.
A couple of dummies sat in seats.
A bit further along a live person pretending to be a dummy.
Things hanging from the roof.
Staff using 2 way radio to advise staff ahead when to jump out/ blow the whistle etc.
A goal - such as finding a ticket for a meal on a restaurant train. Not everyone will suceed of course and may be too scared to search near dummies etc.
Any other spooky ideas anybody can think of?
