Further to GHA Coaches saying they were planning to open a new depot in Winsford earlier in the year I've noticed they've now got separate contact details for Cheshire and North Wales. They also seem to have removed the reference to having a Middlewich depot from their website.

Yes, the Winsford depot replaced Middlewich. They use to have a depot at Tarvin as well - not sure if that has moved to Winsford. [ Also, small sub-depot at Macclesfield ]

As regards contact details, my Crewe local service on Friday (evening) was worked by a bus in Dee-Bee livery (as used in North Wales) so didn't have any reference to a Cheshire address !

The bus has to show the address the operating licence is registered to - which is why High Peak have a Leicester address and D&G Bus have a Uttoxeter address despite the buses used in Cheshire coming from Dove Holes and Crewe respectively. On occasions the GHA Coaches livered buses in Cheshire East show the Wales address twice - once as the GHA registered address painted on the bus by the door and once as the Vale of Llangollen registered address on a printed piece of paper stuck in a window.

Putting an additional contact address or number on the back of the bus is something that used to be common practice in the 1990s but seems to happen a lot less now bus companies have websites.

Dee Bee livered buses have also strayed on to the 289 Northwich to Altrincham service.

I recently sent a fare enquiry to GHA Coaches by email and the email back said it was from Stuart Hyslop CEO who gave me a fare between two points but not from the requested starting point - I said from Mobberley Road, Knutsford and he gave the fare from the village of Mobberley and also made a typo to refer to the driver taking hares instead of fares.

It looks like GHA Coaches have stopped participating in PlusBus with the exception of the Greater Manchester PlusBus. I'm not sure they participated in PlusBus for all towns they operated in with such a scheme but they certainly were included in Wrexham Plus Bus.

It's still valid on these Arriva routes within this area. It's also £2.20 per day for PlusBus there opposed to £2.90 it is for Crewe.

The reason for that is that those services are operated by Arriva Midlands out of Oswestry deport, whereas the services listed by the previous poster are Arriva Cymru (Wales) services operated out of Wrexham depot. It happens with Chester too - services are operated by Arriva Cymru and Arriva North West and you can't view them all at the same time.

Unusual sighting today - a Deebee Solo on the 88 route. A Solo is rare in itself as the 88 route as it is usually operated by Versas and DARTs.

Although it's not the first time a Deebee Solo has reached Knutsford or Altrincham as they've previously appeared on the 289 route. It's also not the most out-of-place bus that's appeared on the 88 route, a Llan Express bus has previously appeared on it.

gha are taking over the evening 38 crewe to Macclesfield service from bakerbus & the 77 Congleton to kidsgrove service from D&G bus from 7th july.

GHA are also taking over the 45 Northwich-Warrington bus service from August. Although, they've not registered a 46 Northwich-Warrington bus service (currently the 45 and 46 routes are 2 hourly interworked to give an hourly service between Northwich and Warrington but some intermediate villages getting a 2 hourly service.)

Noticed YJ06 FYA on the 27 route the other day. GHA name had been removed and it had a card showing the destination with the bus not having a working destination display.

GHA are apparently to repaint buses in white Vale Travel livery in to red and grey GHA Coaches livery.
