Someone I know has tried emailing GHA Coaches regarding this but not got a very useful reply.

The website says "Valid on GHA / Vale Travel buses in Cheshire. Also valid on Services 36 / 82 and Connect 88."

Service 36 is Ellesmere Port - Cheshire Oaks - Elton - Frodsham - Runcorn.
Service 82 is Chester - Tarvin - Kelsall - Northwich
Connect 88 is Knutsford - Mobberley - Wilmslow - Altrincham

Now service 82 is completely within Cheshire so I'm not sure why they've highlighted that service.

Service 36 is completely within Cheshire, however, with Halton between 1998 and 2009 it was one of two Cheshire boroughs not under the control of Cheshire County Council, which might explain why they've highlighted validity on that service.

Connect 88 goes in to Trafford. Now the person I know contacted them and asked if the ticket is valid on the entire 88 route and if so is it also valid on the entire 289 route (Altrincham-Knutsford-Northwich) and the response they got was a brief response saying 'valid in Cheshire only.'

Does anyone have experience of which services (or parts of services) the ticket is accepted on?
