Getting from plane to train at Stansted

On Sunday 29th Nov, I'm on a 10.55am arrival. Does anybody have any experience of how long it takes to get through customs/passport control/etc? British passport holder, no impairments, and I won't have any luggage, so hopefully that will help.

Will a 12.15 rail departure (towards London) be cutting it too fine, or would that be more than enough time? I need to buy an advance to further afield while they're still cheap. Thanks in advance

If your plane is on time, you'll make it easily.

Plenty of time. Stansted don't even care if you do have impediments. On holiday with friends we went over our allowance for spirits, red-phoned it (had a bad experience in the past with friends trying to not declare...) and the customs bloke couldn't care less!

I think I allowed 2 hours with a walk up ticket for part of the journey (it was cheaper) in the hope to make an earlier one. Sadly on the day I was there bag collection took an age so I just missed the train an hour before the booked one. I think 75 mins should be fine if they don't hang about with baggage reclaim too much

The UK customs approach by and large is to go after the "big boys", commercial imports (or imports that could be considered commercial) and drugs (they're only ever there in person at Luton when an Amsterdam flight arrives, and they are there in force with dogs etc in that case). Odd infringements like a bit too much ale is really not of interest to them.

Quite a different approach from many other countries where they go after everything, e.g. the US and Australia.
