Hello, hoping someone can help.

I’m in Hannover and wanting to visit Göttingen and BraunSchweig, in the same day.

Looking on the DB App, I can see 2 regional offer tickets:-

Niedersachsen-Ticket
Niedersachsentariff

Now when I also search different routes they give the same name ticket, but different prices.

Can anyone advise on the best ticket to purchase if I want to do:-

Hannover to Göttingen to Braunschweig to Hannover.

Thanks in advance.

The Niedersachsen-Ticket is a day ticket for the entire Niedersachsen region with a price of € 25, additional persons can travel on one ticket for a smaller additional fee.
Validity of the ticket is indicated on this map (and yes, it's valid for your entire trip)

The Niedersachentarif is just the name of the entire fare system in Niedersachsen. For single tickets the fare depends on the distance traveled, exact fares can be calculated using the FahrPlaner.
However checking the fare for a single ticket from Hannover to Göttingen I already got a fare of € 23,50 from that planner. So the day ticket seems to be the best deal for you. Until the 16th of August this ticket is also valid in the morning peak (before 9.00 hrs).

As far as I can see the Niedersachsen ticket is €25, but there is a version which extends coverage to Groningen (NL) for €31.
So unless you are intending to cross the Dutch border, the €25 ticket is the one you need.

Important note by the way: the Niedersachsen-Ticket is only valid in regional trains (RB, RE, S type trains) and not in Fernverkehr (IC, EC, ICE) trains.

And of course there is the €49 ticket so these regional tickets are now only a good option if you will do little or no travel on German trains, trams, buses on any other days within that calendar month.

Thank you for the advice regards this, had a brilliant day out with the ticket, and covered a large area! Well
Worth it.
