Hi all,

Just need some information if available. I am travelling out to Germany next summer for Euro2024 and plan to use my FIP pass and coupons.

My plan is to buy a FIP discounted Eurostar ticket from London to Cologne, then use my FIP from Cologne to Frankfurt where I planning to set up base.

I’ve never used a FIP pass before and don’t know how to use it or how it works in Europe/Germany.

Any help of advise on this matter would be fantastic!

Thanks
Jack

All the info you'll need is on the RDG site helpfully linked above. There isn't much more to know! Just be aware of restrictions on some peak ICE, but again all that information is available in Where Can I Go document.

One thing to stress is look at Pages 70 & 71 of the guide which gives non FIP operators so make sure that your coupon is valid on the operator.

Generally Germany is one of the better countries, you don't need to worry about reservations & supplements, you just get on your train (as long as it is not restricted - there is a link, see p68, but it seems to require registration).

Unfortunately there is no equivilant of Swiss Private railways in Germany.
