German Private Railways

I am planning a visit to Germany later in the year using an interrail ticket to travel round. I have noticed that there are new Private Railways e.g. vlexx and trilex - both of which are part of an association called Die Landerbahn.
Neither of these appear in the list of Rail Pass Tickets for Germany, which is available through the interrail web site and which is dated 15 December 2013.

Several older members of Die Landerbahn do appear on the list so could I assume that all members of the association accept Interrail passes?

Can any one tell me if there is an updated version of the list anywhere?

I believe as a rule that any service that was previously operated by DB but is now operated by another organisation under contract will accept DB tickets, which includes things like the Wochenendticket and InterRail. Edit: The only exception to this is any private for-profit open-access service, of which I *think* the only one left is HKX (Hamburg-Koeln-Express), though Interconnex may not have closed yet.

While the contract situation does differ, the way it works for ticketing is not dissimilar to the UK - the one exception being open-access "for profit" ICs which unlike in the UK don't have "ORCATS" to get in on the fares. Though you might need to pay an IC/ICE supplement, unless they dropped that.

Edit - according to CD Interrail tickets are accepted on Trilex - you need to look under Vogtlandbahn.

USEDOM BAEDER BAHN (UBB) is not included and I was unable to use an interrail ticket on them (had to buy a single)

That one is I think a bit different as it is a genuinely private railway and has never been operated by DB (think about it as if it were a UK preserved railway that operated a regular DMU passenger service as well, for instance), though I half-remember an IC through coach on that line being hauled behind the regular DMU.

Edit: Except it seems it is...a wholly owned subsidiary of DB AG. Weird.

Indeed it is: note the prominent DB logo on the front of this UBB unit. But I believe free coupons & FIP's are not valid on it either.

The UBB is one of a handful of lines outwith the basic German tariff system, and through fares have an add-on. The others all operate on non DB infrastructure. Regional tickets are always valid, to complicate things.

I suspect Usedom is a case of trying to recoup the cost of the 1990's bridge and/or the highly seasonal traffic. It presumably allows them to set their own fares! The line was, of course, historically part of the main DRG network, but with access from Swinemuende which is now in Poland.

As far as I can tell looking at the list of valid private railways, the UBB is valid but only for the section Barth - Stralsund - Greifswald - Zussow .

As I am not planning to travel this far east on this visit I will have to leave this till next time.

Correct, because they run local trains over DB.
