With so many Railway orientated quizzes on here, try a quiz on other things.

1) According to the official UK top 40, which music group had two christmas no.1s with the same song?

2) What colour is the black box on commercial aeroplanes?

3) How many Space Shuttles were built?

4) How long was the 100 years war?

5) Challenger, the prototype of the USSRs version of Concorde, crashed at which city's airshow?

6) How long did Britains shortest war last?

[Bohemian Rhapsody?

2) What colour is the black box on commercial aeroplanes?
Orange?, if not Yellow

3) How many Space Shuttles were built?
5; Columbia, Challenger, Atlantis, Discovery, Endeavour. There was also a prototype.teest vehicle IIRC so that would bring it to 6, but I don't know if that counts because it never flew in outer space IIRC.

4) How long was the 100 years war?
116 years

5) Challenger, the prototype of the USSRs version of Concorde, crashed at which city's airshow?
Pass.

6) How long did Britains shortest war last?
All of 38 minutes.

I'll stick with my 6 even tho Enterprise never left orbit :)

Bonus point for Columbia & Challenger being the 2 destroyed ?????

There was also the Soviet one, but that never flew a manned mission (only one unmannned mission).

The Russian SST (supersonic transport) was the Tupelov TU-144.

It NEVER had a name. MOST are still extant, in storage at various locations in the Moscow area.

Two have recently been refurbish for research purposes.

THE ANSWERS:

1) According to the official UK top 40, which music group had two christmas no.1s with the same song?

Queen (Bohemien Rhapsody, 1979 and 1991).

2) What colour is the black box on commercial aeroplanes?

Orange

3) How many Space Shuttles were built?

7, 6 American, 1 Soviet (there is doubt that the Russian shuttle actually flew in space as there is no footage of it taking off)

4) How long was the 100 years war?

116 years

5) Challenger, the prototype of the USSRs version of Concorde, crashed at which city's airshow?

Paris

6) How long did Britains shortest war last?

38 minutes

....(2 lost on re entry 14 lives lost in total)....

....Bonus point for Columbia & Challenger being the 2 destroyed ?????....

A bonus point for saying those 2 were destroyed, but I'm also gonna take that point away because you stated that both blew up on re-entry.<D

Challenger actually blew up after take off, killing 6 astronauts and a teacher.
