It wasn't John Glenn in his spacecraft was it? Although I can't see how "accidental" could fit in with the first orbit of the three he made...

Towards the end of the filming of Brief Encounter the cast and crew were given an unexpected day off - why?

I'll put you out of your misery as I'm off on holiday tomorrow and won't be online for a week (hopefully)

The reason the cast and crew got the day off was that the cameras were requisitioned to help film the VE Day celebrations in London
