Correct ! The actual course reverted to farmland in the 1950s, but the clubhouse was in different ownership, so remained.

Is the correct answer. Official opening of the Skegness camp was by the aviator Amy Johnson, apparently.
She paid a flying visit!

Believe so. Possibly not until late May (1936) though, and might just have been a new bathing pool that was opened, not the camp itself. Known at the time by her married name of Amy Mollison.

To continue from the above. Dr Smart-Allick was headmaster of a school called Narkover that made St Trinians look like Roedean. In Beachcomber’s heyday a film was made about the school: who played Dr Alec Smart, the renamed Dr Smart-Allick?
