Second clue - it’s something that happened to the ball after the batsman hit it. And remember it’s to do with the law around being out bowled

Yes!!!

The batsman smashed the ball down the ground, it hit the stumps at the other end full on, and rolled the full 22 yards back towards the batsman, who had stepped away from the crease. It then hit the stumps, the bails came off, and under the then-current law the batsman is out bowled

That won’t be the case going forward, it’ll be a dead ball

Thank you. I remember watching that first game with my late father. It was a lovely sunny day.

Staying on an English Premier League theme, only two players have ever scored a hat-trick made up of three headers. Who are they?

(I will accept either one)

Surprisingly, no. I'm sure he probably scored a hat-trick of 25 yard rasping volleys though.....
One is quite obscure, and you probably wouldn't know him unless you supported the club he played for.
The other was quite reasonably well known for his heading prowess though.....
