Is the correct answer.

He also was the first bowler to take 5 wickets in an innings and the first batsmen to be out stumped.

I hand the question setting over (did you see what I did there) to you.
Thank you. Continuing with cricket, who was the last player to perform the seasonal double of 1000 runs and 100 wickets in county cricket ?

I can’t for the life of me think of his name but it was a West Indian all rounder who didn’t get in their test team. Played for Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire I think??

Derbyshire is correct - so it is your turn to bat.

Date was more recent than that - though still a long time ago. Would anyone like to have a guess before I reveal all ?
Thank you! I've been listening to Kevin Howells on the BBC Sounds county championship coverage far too much this year! It's amazing what sticks in my brain considering how much essential stuff I forget these days!

I will guess 1953.......

OK, a bit of a change of (wind) direction now.......

Ex-hurricane Humberto, potentially to be named Amy, the first in the 25/26 storm season, is coming our way this weekend, with the risk of explosive cyclogenesis......so be sure to put something heavy in your pockets. However, which 5 letters will you never see as initial letters of the names of storms?

I'll "drop in", if I might...

The word "putamen" has two different meanings, about different things. Either or both, acceptable as answer(s).
