I think it could be a record breaking 400m runner but I can't remember their name.
Track and field is correct, but not a runner....

I will hazard a guess at the high jump.
You are correct. Brandon Starc is his name and he was 5th in the Olympics in Japan, jumping just 4cm less than the joint winners.
I'm guessing Mr and Mrs Starc are pretty proud of their sons' achievements, and rightly so.

At first I read that as rock accent and thought it must be a musical term but no, I think it's to do with climbing, neither of those are the answer.
