(I thought of this one, because in the New York Times game "Wordle", yesterday's answer-word was "loris". There's a US-based message board which I frequent, on which folk daily compare notes on how they've done on Wordle; yesterday the Americans thereon -- plus an Aussie, and a Brit -- were almost outraged about the word concerned -- "what the hell is a loris? idiotic, obscure word," etc. I reckoned that we on this board, would likely be more clued-up ...)
