Is Rhodium not derived from the River Rhône? (Rodensis in Latin I believe....but open to correction, as always!)
No, Rhodium's name is seemingly derived from the Greek word 'Rhodon' (rose-coloured) as one of its chloride compounds has a distinctive dark rose-red colour.
