Assuming the clue is as much about not knowing who as about there being a murder, is it the name of the house in Cluedo? The real life house Cluedo was based on? The home of the person who invented Cludeo? Or am I way off beam?!?

It's not where Agatha Christie wrote her first book is it? Meaning it's a fictional murder?

I know it's not the house she's famous for, but could she have been staying there on holiday or something and decided to start writing while there?

It was indeed, or Mr Boddy in N America and apparently "Boden 'Boddy' Black Jr." now in both UK and USA editions.

Other characters were Mrs Scarlett, who became Mrs Scarlet, beore gaining the extra 't' again.
Mrs White became Dr Orchid, and then Chef White.
The Rev Green became Mayor Green.
Mrs Peacock became Solicitor Peacock.
Colonel Mustard and Prof Plum are unchanged.

Why can't they just keep them the same? :'(
