The very same -- plateau outside the walls of Quebec City; at battle of said "Plains" in 1759, after a three-month siege: the British under Wolfe captured the city from the French under Montcalm -- the battle was fatal for both commanders. (The name is not from the biblical Abraham; but from the farmer Abraham Martin, who had previously owned the tract of land concerned.)
@millemille, @DaleCooper, @Peterthegreat : you've each got one. Would you be agreeable to the "tie-breaker" way of settling such situations?

That's my understanding, as per @Peterthegreat -- the "Heights" bit re Quebec, is a lay-persons' "embroidery" on the name: applied, in that spirit, to the eminence at Matlock.

The Heights of Abraham in Canada overlook the Plains of Abraham. The Heights in Matlock are supposed to ressemble the Canadian Heights, though a cynic like me wonders if the ressemblance was only visible to those who wanted to turn it into a tourist attraction.

Fair enough! I was just quoting - from memory - my 'Illustrated Childrens' Encyclopedia of British History' , which I still have in a box somewhere, but haven't seen recently. Of course, it may be that my memory that's faulty!
