There is a nation which:

Several decades ago, changed its capital from a relatively well-known city, to one less so.

As a matter of protocol, insists on its correct name as being in a particular language -- one of a continent not its own.

Has as its national flag, one which is identical to that of a European nation, except for its parts being "in reverse order".

Please name the nation to which the above things, apply.

@gabrielhj07, @yoyothehobo : impressively quick, and correct (sorry, later responders). @gabrielhj07, you win by two minutes (the country insists that officially, its name is French Cote d'Ivoire only; but I feel that that can be regarded as its idiosyncracy -- to us English-speakers, it's been Ivory Coast "since forever"). I'd thought till very recently that the capital was Abidjan, on the coast; it used to be, but in 1983 capital was switched to Yamoussoukro, some way inland. (Flag is like that of the Republic of Ireland, but with positions of green and orange bands, reversed.)

Monsieur @gabrielhj07, c'est votre tour.
