It is complete hogwash from around 1940s. A manual was even published for engineering students about this wonderful motor iirc. Totally hypothetical but filled with so much unnecessary technobabble and virtually zero plain English. Basically it was taking the piss ( sorry extracting the urine!) out of us engineers and scientists for not using plain English.
