Are the flags, the key? I suspect that every flag shown, of every country, has an element of white in it -- including several where it features in small devices which don't show up on-screen in the post.

Correct. Until the Twenty-fifth amendment in 1967, there was no mechanism to fill a vacant intra-term VP’s post. A good thing they produced that, otherwise things would have become very interesting under Tricky-Dicky.

Do they all have two parts? (not sure about the Irishman - northerner and southerner perhaps?)
