Baffin Island must be one of them?
Very good effort......it's actually fifth largest.

Dear Lord -- Borneo, which I'd quite forgotten ! (Never very big on the railway scene -- or that's my excuse.)
You have it now! Number three.

So we have three contenders:

@DaleCooper @xotGD @Calthrop

You can either sort it out between you guys or go for a tie-break:

We have had fifth and sixth largest, Great Britain is eighth, so what is number 7 ?

@Calthrop I'm sure we had a similar question not long ago to which the answer was The White Knight. I remember quoting the number of the A3 loco 60077. As for earning a crust, I rob the occasional bank, just as a hobby you understand.

(Not a question or answer -- just, about a question earlier today -- yes; looking back, about a year ago I set one: describing an assortment of Lewis Carroll and Edward Lear characters, and inviting identifications -- one of those was indeed, the White Knight from Through the Looking-Glass. It looks as though I need to give a rest to setting questions with Carroll / Lear themes ...)

Coal is the remains of trees. Oil and gas is the remains of marine organisms.

They are a US instrumental rock group who have featured on a member of film soundtracks and who recorded the original pilot theme for the Big Bang Theory, however the theme was then rewritten for the series and performed by the Barenaked Ladies.

The question is "Who is the blind idiot god?" not "Who are Blind Idiot God?".
