No, although I like the idea of that camouflage style. WWII they ended up on the side of the turret so very much an important part of the tank

In 1917 a Chinese member of the Malayan council presented a Mk V tank to the British government but suggested it should have Chinese eyes painted on saying, “No got eyes, how can see? No can see, how can save? No can save, how can chop chop?”. It was done and the tradition carries on to today with Challenger IIs still having a small eye on the side of their turrets.
