The other I think is Cyril Walters -but only for an extremely short time - possibly 1 or 2 tests off memory?

Tony Lewis

Mike Denness is correct. The new ball is yours (or have you already taken it?)

Tony Lewis is definitely one.

Yes, I did jump the gun a little, but I hope that you didn't mind.

Tony Lewis (seven matches) and Cyril Waters (one match) are the Welsh captains I was looking for. As both xotGD and GRALISTAIR have one each, I'll ask a tie break question:

"Who is the only England Cricket Captain to have a star on the Hollywood Hall of Fame?"

Neither of those .... it's Sir Charles Aubrey Smith CBE (known as C Aubrey Smith) (1863 – 1948), who was an English Test cricketer who became a stage and film actor, acquiring a niche as the officer-and-gentleman type, as in the first sound version of The Prisoner of Zenda (1937). In Hollywood, he organised British actors into a cricket team, much intriguing local spectators.

He captained England (the known as the MCC) to victory in his only Test match, against South Africa at Port Elizabeth in 1888–89, taking five wickets for nineteen runs in the first innings. The MCC team who played were by no means representative of the best players of the time and nobody at the time realised that the match would enter the cricket records as an official Test match, but it is now included.

His Hollywood Hall of Fame star is in the Motion Pictures category and is at 6327 Hollywood Boulevard.

So, as neither of you got it right, I think that I'll call it a draw and leave you to decide amongst yourselves who should enter the Long Room.

Yay!

A relatively easy question...

Who was the UK Prime Minister when Queen Elizabeth II acceded to the throne?
