Sorry no. Route 66 is not even interstate. Huge portions of the old route 66 have been incorporated into other interstate roads though. A good chunk of 1-44 is the old route 66 in places for example.

3 days and no reply. Time for a clue. If we struggle then I will give answer and declare open floor. In USA E to W roads are even numbered. N to S roads are odd numbered. Major major ones EW are usually round numbers in multiples of 10. Look at the geography and then consider what is most logical. Starting in the south number start low then increase going north. Starting in west numbers start low and increase going east. Hopefully that big big clue is helpful.
