If a question is answered correctly and accepted by the question setter, but then no new question is set within one day (twenty-four hours) by the successful contestant, on expiry of this period, the floor will open for any member to set a new question.

@FrodshamJnct. Are you intending to set a new question?

Ah, merci bien sûr!

Mauritania and Madagascar are the only two countries in the world that don’t have or don't use what?

Bang on! And FYI this may crop up again in one of my next Cryptic Crossword clues!!
Ah yes, I remember decimalisation.

Next question:

One word links all of these:

The surname of a former Israeli politician, a fabric, a bird, a 1989 film, a tobacco, a hairstyle, a dance.

What is that word?

Were there Celtic tribes called the Cambrians or something similar? Then the county would be Cambridgeshire and the Russian kingdom must be Cambrowski (I just made that up).

I wish that was the answer, just for the noble Kingdom of Cambrowski.

Right sort of thinking though.
