Along with hundreds of other companies no doubt including Wells Fargo, Airbnb, Gap Inc., Salesforce, Dropbox, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, and Lyft. It's hardly a unique feature that they share.

OK, have a go at this. Something from my formative years.

In the late 1960s Hanna-Barbera produced 17 episodes of the Wacky Races, although there were subsequent spin-offs involving some of the characters.

In the original 17 episodes there are 11 entrants in each race, and two races in each episode. I don’t expect you to remember the exact names of all the contestants, nor the precise names of their vehicles, but there are 11 points up for grabs if you can give me enough of a description to identify the contestants and/or their vehicles.

There is a bonus point if you can tell me the one contestant who didn’t win any of the 34 races.

Penelope Pitstop - The Compact Pussycat
The Slag Brothers (fantastic name) - something like the Boulder Mobile
Peter Perfect - don't know the car
The Red Max - don't know the plane/car

Sergeant Blast & Private Meekly - Army Surplus Car?
The Gruesome Twosome - can't remember the car
Blubber Bear - The Arkansas Chugabug (or similar) but I can't remember his co-driver.

I LOVED this programme but I think I'm done.

Edit - there was a lumberjack in the Buzz Wagon but I can't remember his name.

So, what or who (both answers are available) links Trevor Eve, Oz Clarke & James May and The Milky Bar Kid. More clues available if required but I'm thinking this won't last too long.

Let's add Frank Ifiield and Oxo to the list of existing clues, Trevor Eve, Oz Clarke & James May and The Milky Bar Kid.

The signs seem to point to beverages of some kind.
Oz Clarke & James May - wine
Bergerac - wine
Milky Bar Kid - milk
Oxo - it used to be served as a drink at the local swimming pool

Neither is the correct answer, though Jersey is correct for land of the non-fictitious detective, as @DaleCooper Cooper has specifically mentioned.

Further clues: Mr Bloe, and a village in West Yorkshire famous for something specific. The previous links are Trevor Eve, Oz Clarke & James May, The Milky Bar Kid, Frank Ifiield, Oxo, Love Me Do and a fictitious non-mainland detective.

As I mentioned above, think musically. The 'what' is an item, the 'who' is (obviously) a person. The former is probably easier to work out with the clues given than the latter.

Trevor Eve starred in Shoestring, with the theme mainly played by harmonica.

Oz Clarke & James May presented Oz & James Drink To Britain (a follow up from a previous show they co-hosted). The theme was Groovin' With Mr Bloe, by Mr Bloe (a group). Again, harmonica features very heavily in the tune.

The Milky Bar Kid & Oxo had adverts in the 1970s with the harmonica featuring as the main instrument.

Frank Ifield's 'I Remember You' featured a harmonica in it's tune; John Lennon took the advice of a particular harmonica player before writing 'Love Me Do'.

The fictitious non-mainland detective was Bergerac, with the theme tune predominantly harmonica based.

As mentioned earlier, 'Groovin' With Mr Bloe', by Mr Bloe heavily features a harmonica.

The village in West Yorkshire famous for something specific is Holmfirth, home to Last Of The Summer Wine, with its theme tune again being very harmonica based.

However, the overriding theme here is that all of the above pieces of harmonica music, and references, were played by one man: Harry Pitch, who was one of the foremost players of said instrument.

For the record, I have absolute no interest in the particular instrument other than I am very fond of the 'Groovin' With Mr Bloe' tune.
