I'm guessing Ardencaple as Fort William, which (FW) has a rather post-Cullodenish sound to it.

It's neither of the above, I'm afraid -- though it is on salt water. Our place is -- as an actual town, and under its present name -- much newer than Aberdeen, and newer than Fort William.

Actually, not so -- it's always been Naas, or close Irish equivalent. However, re this and your earlier Athlone: right island, and essentially right patch thereof.
