Just 2 song lyrics and artists to get now :

2/ You were content to let me shine, thats your way. You always walked a step behind.

10/ Love can touch us one time and last a lifetime and never let go till we're gone.

Is it possible we're being thrown because the lyrics are written as one line but in the actual song they're several lines?

I suspect these are mushy love songs, so not really my forte.

Clue for no.2 which you are stuck on :

You were content to let me shine, thats your way
You always walked a step behind
So I was the one with all the glory

This is a female singer and the song is from a film released in 2015.

What are these two MPs the only ones to have done?

Malcolm St. Clair - Bristol South-East, 1961–63
Charles Beattie - Mid-Ulster, 1955–56

I'm not sure of the exact answer needed but Bristol South East was Tony Benn's constituency. Therefore I would guess Benn being disqualified as an MP after inheriting his father's title meant St Clair stood. Benn stood for re-election despite not being allowed to and won. St Clair was then imposed by a court ruling but stood aside when Benn won his case. MP's cannot resign so St Clair applied for some obscure post (Chiltern Hundreds) or similar. I imagine something like that happened in Mid-Ulster as well, though I know nothing of that case.

You’re skirting the right answer but not quite there. It isn’t applying for stewardship of one of the Hundreds as other MPs (David Cameron’s one) have also done it
