Have recently learnt, depressingly: that ten out of the world’s eighteen species of penguin, are critically endangered. Googling therefrom, revealed that hitherto I’d had in my head, the names of rather few penguin species. Please name -- preferably without search-engine use -- six species of this bird (whether endangered, or doing just fine, or whatever in-between).

Chocolate Penguin comes in Orange, Mint and Toffee subspecies.
Indeed -- though it doesn't live in Italy
. Per Google, it got its name from being observed by English sailors a couple of hundred years ago: they associated its conspicuous yellow crest, with young male trendies in England at the time and their liking for flamboyant hairstyles / headgear -- these bods were called "Macaronis". (Yankee Doodle and his feather in his hat, come from the same source.)Please keep these penguins coming !

The Humboldt were in my brain cells because the Welsh Mountain Zoo keep a colony of them. The Adelie were featured in an episode of Octonauts I watched with my nieces.

There's also the little or fairy penguin- you find them in parts of NZ & Aus.
